It is all Corbyn's fault! The country is going down the drain! Same goes for Trump! He is the worst president ever!

In the words of Willy Loman: I don't want change, I want Swiss cheese!

Or in my case Cheshire cheese with strawberry jam.

Re: David Cameron's blue check shirt

Cultural Marxism? Isnt that a term used by people in power pretending that they are in fact under siege? Dont answer that because whatever you call it, this tactic is used by everyone to claim they're disadvantaged until they have 100% control.

With regards to clothing. Men are struggling to find clothes that give them a degree of dignity without putting them at an automatic disadvantage with other men. It's part of why clothing has to move and really doesn't get reused or recycled in a way that say furniture or works of art do; clothing is about whats going on at the moment which includes the struggle for status, respect, dignity, anxieties, hopes etc.

Now, women have won the struggle to combine both dignity and sexuality in clothing for the workplace and no longer have to dress to pretend they're either sexless or mini-men. Thus when I see a a lawyer dressed like she's a supermodel wearing a short skirt and spiked boots, I no longer think there is any irony there whatsoever.  And good for women, for centuries women didn't work and fashion sexualized them 100% which when they joined the workforce was an immediate disadvantage. But fashion is clever and powerful and thus it trumps all obstacles.

The situation is sad for men because the suit while not a perfect garment, is a relatively new and versatile one which gives them an automatic sense of dignity and refinement. Maybe the problem is that while the vast majority of women subscribe to the notion that people should have manners and refinement and buy into fashion/grooming as a sign of character it would seem by contrast that most men do not believe in these qualities.

Re: David Cameron's blue check shirt

You get into Oxford far more easily if you went to Eton. It is not a meritocracy.

Provided you are personable and not a complete nincompoop the odds are pretty good.

Most MPs and politicians are bought and paid for along the American lines. Outsiders like Corbyn and Farage are less likely to be funded by the usual sources. Trump funds himself.

See what I did there Beeston?
