Re: Luggage redux

^^

the ol' Ghurka was nice.  I hate to offer the ol' saw about things not being what they used to be -- but the original company made fine kit.  I've got a tie case -- and I was always a sucker for little bits and bobs:  And they had pouches, smaller cases, folding cases, and whatnot.  Amazing canvas and leather work I thought.

I do favor the OD green.  But I must concede that the khaki is the Holy of Holies for the Trad.

The bean bags were either blue with OD canvas or brown with OD canvas as I recall.  In that case, the brown was Trad.  But I favored the blue.  For the Jauntiness.

The original briefcase:

is the one I picked up.  Save it was about $200 or so.  And didn't have a shoulder strap.  On this one, there was no "wrap" for the handles, though some guys chose this option.  I'm still awaiting a scholastic debate on whether said option is Trad or not, so I can send it in for refurb.

Pick one up, if you don't have another case or are in the market.  It's worth it.

Re: Luggage redux

Do you mean the bag with an 'H' written on?

It is a bowling bag.

Re: Luggage redux

Why? It took me quite a few minutes to remember it 😉

Re: Luggage redux

I thought bowling bags were smaller, over here we would just call it a holdall or at least I would.

Love the way Timothy Bottoms' head is so obviously superimposed on the body in the poster.  Ah, those innocent pre-Photoshop days...
