John Simons Summer Suits

JS have their own label summer suits in stock. The cloth is a lightweight tropical wool type affair, two piece 3 button jacket with all the ivy details, tapered cut trousers with a good high waist. Colour is a very useful navy blue. I tried one but decided against it as the lapels were a tad on the narrow side for my personal taste so I took a pass. But overall I thought the cut and quality were good. Don't hold me to it but I think the price was around the £295 mark.

Looked at them in the window yesterday.  Think price was £395.  Was put off by the chest darts.

That's a deal breaker for me too.

Re: John Simons Summer Suits

They have a couple of different models in there at the moment. The navy one I (and presumably Woof) tried on wasn't darted, though I saw the darted one in there.

John said they're still tweaking the design, so there are several samples kicking about. The one I tried was perfect: good lapel roll and shoulder shape, and a high rise on the trouser too. The only reason I hesitated was because I'm not sure I really need another navy suit.

Re: John Simons Summer Suits

I brought one of these, the other day.

The positives are the cut, shape, excellent roll, undarted. You'd  lucky to get much better on the high street for the price.

I did end up going up a size in everything though, think a similar issue to the chinos. Its also very lightweight.

I suppose against, its a very dark colour, made in india, and the J Press suit can be had for just over twice the price.

Overall pretty happy.

Sounds good Tommy any chance of a picture on ILSFT thread.
I'm thinking of getting the navy undarted one myself.
