Re: Brian Ferry: Style Icon...

Ive rarely, if ever, have seen Formby or for that matter DH post anything I'd describe as stylish or tasteful, in Formby's case there always appears to be some drive to back up what he posts with a snippet of googled text. Yet like I said, what ever is being projected in these images, rarely has anything to do with aesthetic brilliance. The trouble when arrongance and confidence meet complete lack of ability or inate taste. Ferry has not got it, fair enough you want to enter the world of the louche George Bush/Eddie Munster lookalike competition winner, but I think you may have had context blind you to what is actually in front of you which is particularly mediocre and really lacking in any magic. You see it round town all the time, people using their clothes to project, and missing all the detail that goes to make the design and the execution brilliant. I really dont want to celebrate the mundane and pedestrian or the busy and messy, style done simply is not a game for people of get deluded by self-importance, they see things as they are and they work with the materials to produce art. Im not saying I am one of those people, Im.just saying that's the type of thing I like to see celebrated. The difference between say someone like Bowie and Ferry is vast. In terms of architecture its like getting week at the knees over a commuter-belt new build.

Re: Brian Ferry: Style Icon...

Im not sure you even know what trolling is if you think putting a contrary view point forward as trolling.

I cant believe in a reality of obvious success and failure a true sensibility of balance doesnt exsist..in that are infinite styles that can be executed with various degrees of adeptness and express many different views and room for self expression, my point is that. I dont think he is very adept at it... the style he operates in doesn't come in to it.

If you can get your head round that then you might open yourself something bigger and greater of a reality of what is actual and not what you distort with an intellectualism that deludes you to the starkly obvious to those sensitive enough to see it
