Loafers I look silly in loafes

Why?

Oxfords, black or brown - just look right.
The brass buckle of a monk - has some authority
But the lace-less loafer, almost like being in prision, when they take away ones shoelaces in order to prevent suicide

So - next purchase: C&J Savile

Again, reminds me of the shoes I wore in the 80s. Happy days, but I have little nostalgia to re-interpret now.

Still want a pair of these:

Might wait now until late Autumn next year.

Well, go ahead. I still need to come to terms with scotchgrain. It needs to be very grainy and "hard", otherwise it looks like comfy shoes for pensioners.
