I'm a drummer.
Quite a few musically inclined folks here, but I think we're the only drummers.
That is a beaut, Dermit.
^ re. tuning stability, try something like Stwewart McDonlads magic guitar lube ( teflon in alcohol solution) in the nut slots and bridge saddles ,
most of the tuning issues with Bigsby style trems are due to friction at those points and not the stability of the trem system (it was made for gentle affect not divebombing).
Strat trem tuning issues however are a whole different ballgame, that can be the above plus misbalanced springs, dirt in the saddle block, bent saddle screws .... this list is almost as long as the parts in the guitar.
+1 for Bigsby. I am also a drummer, and, big Ivy trad Retro Vintage moment for me: I used to play with the "traditional" grip https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_grip
Who was the Ivyist or coolest drummer? I have my own opinion on this, but I am intrigued what the actual drummers think from a technical and sartorial stand point.
Thanks!

Yes, that's who I picked for being the Ivyist.
My favourite drummers in no order of preference: Chick Webb, Louie Belson, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, Max Roach, Chico Hamilton, Keith Moon, Steve White, Topper Headon and as honourable runner up Chris Frantz (limited style, but it worked).
Oh yes, maybe Mr Baker too and if we're going into that territory, I will include Tony Allen.
Maybe even Rick Buckler, forgotten these days, but dig him on these two:

Most Ivy Drummer award definitely goes to Joe Morello, but as far as technical ability, how could you leave off Elvin Jones???? Not only was he a beast in the solo department, but he was just as impressive digging into that ride cymbal to hold all the chaos together.
Here's a good example from his time with Coltrane.

Of course Blakey's breakneck pace on Johnny Griffin's "The Way You Look Tonight" is unreal as well.

Oh yeah, I missed a few greats out there!
Here's some drum mania for ya':

I'll ad Dave Tough and Gene Krupa to the swing era guys that never really crossed into the field of bebop.
