That floor plan and drawing look suspiciously like an Eichler that one can find in the Bay Area, over in Marin County or down the peninsula, where the weather allows one to enjoy a swimming pool. A job in downtown SF, when you could expect a hassle free commute and easy parking. A Karmann Ghia in the garage. Or an early BMW 320. Martinis pre dinner. Bewitched. Get Smart. Bonanza. Twelve O'Clock High. I Dream Of Jeannie. All rather mid 60s-ish.
Perhaps Billax will chime in with his deep knowledge of the modern style and of Eichlers in the SF Bay Area.
The chair in number in the foreground of the photo #10 is being made again. By the original maker. In that shade of (apparently original) green. I'll see if I can find the catalog. Just noticed it the other day.
Berkeley_Breathes, you hit it with the houseplans.
I used to love Eichlers until I actually saw them in real life. They're much too small for this hoarder. But I still love their style, and the indoor-outdoor courtyard. MCM all the way, baby.
This stuff was definitely the high point. I want it all to come back.
Looking around at ANY new housing development in the USA, I feel revulsion. It's all complete trash. Ugly tasteless nightmares, a way of life not worth defending.
