Many of those classic threads with great pictures are sadly no more. Before last week FNB.com was a treasure of great photos, but sadly no more. The probLEM IS THAT NOW PHOTOBUCKET HAVE DEMANDED A RANSOM of hundreds of dollars to reinstall the pics. Naturally many aren't playing their game. The declining site that is plagued with technical issues and poor customer service is being boycotted by many apparently. They have made their money with loads of annoying commercials for years.
Amazon and eBay images broken by Photobucket's 'ransom demand'
This is what many of the threads now look like:
13 years of picture posting on forums down the drain for me.
Many of the Style forum and AAAC forum archives will now be ruined also.
I like this comment the most, it sums up my mind set completely.
When the dust settles, most, if not all of us, will have either found a different way of handling our pictures or will just no longer worry about showing them at all. Humans are a flexible lot and can learn to do without many things we have take for granted over the years. In fact, this may even simplify our lives, a bit.
I personally have hundreds of pictures on several forums that are no longer visible. But, most people will not miss them, nor will I worry about the fact that they can no longer see them.
I think it's time to place some of my interests in other areas, rather than wasting so much time on my computer

I know .... all those classic images and peoples outfits gone.
I tried imgur.com but that didn't seem too user friendly. The other day I came across https://imgbb.com which is a free image hosting site and easy to use, how secure the images are in the long term, who knows.
But as you say, the answer is to spend less time looking at screens.
