Beta-testing my new model

White DC shirts for business

3 button cuff blue-based (Bengal, mini gingham) ones for casual, and to occasionally augment the staid white shirt style mentioned before.

Re: Beta-testing my new model

To add some quant data to the VBA model:

after white shirts, blue ones already are somewhat casual so having DC blues is somewhat of a white White Horse.

I once had dinner with a magic circle partner who told me that during his formative years, anything else than white DC was really frowned upon (as in: you received a substantial lashing)

That magic circle partner, was he doing drugs at the time?
If not, were you?

Re: Beta-testing my new model

The point is- I am buying another watch, in yellow gold, and I cannot be bothered to buy YG cufflinks as well.

Re: Beta-testing my new model

You could just wear whatever cufflinks you want with the yellow gold watch...

But what am I saying?? Cufflinks and a watch of two different metals? You might as well be wearing rags! I'll show myself out...

Re: Beta-testing my new model

Its all too fussy. A South Tyrolian friend of mine has simplified his to perfection. mid-dark-grey MTM suits (often Birdseye), light blue button cuff shirts, medium blue ancient madder ties, scruffy Daytona with Zenith movement. White hair, suntan.

Re: Beta-testing my new model

I can't be doing with cufflinks nowadays. Bar watches I avoid bits of metal...collar pins, lapel pins, tie clips ect.

This suntan, I hope its not from a sunbed? Nothing screams "I'm a prick" like a sunbed suntan. Not even an "I voted Trump" baseball cap on a white guy in rural Alabama.

Yes, white shirts are beautiful in their simplicity. The less texture the better for me though for implied formality. And a spread collar. Lovely.
