I particularly like the guy in the McGregor ad in the plaid shirt, yellow sweater vest, blue plaid jacket, and gray flannels...and the shoulder on that first suit makes me want to cry.

I might steal that McGregor ensemble this fall.

Though Forest Gump kind of killed the buttoned-up shirt with no tie thing--it's become Hollywood shorthand for "mentally deficient."

I always thought David Byrne and David Lynch looked cool like that.  Maybe it only works for eccentric Davids.

That Buttondown shirt would only be 28 bucks today.

I'm really hoping that they can put their embarrassing past behind them & now really make a contribution to the discussion of this style.
