I hope he doesn't include the stag in his sex acts. He's like a prehistoric Jimmy Savile

^ Good old mid century advertising. You definitely wouldn't get away with a picture of a woman being dragged by her hair these days. I'm not sure what the cartoon is doing here actually, very strange.

The girl seems happy about the situation, the stag appears partial to me. I think he is pondering how exactly he is going to be involved in this. The dinosaur, of course, is not correct.

I find the copy amusing, it's a real fest of man made fibers. I think, some forgotten deadstock items will be still wearable when humanity is gone and forgotten.

That'd be a great name for a band.

Re: The Ivy League Style: The Boom Years.

I suppose rugged can have different meanings. I see those suits in the ad as being rugged, not in the outdoorsy sort of way but smart without looking completely square. That's the best way I can describe what I see, not sure if it makes sense. The ad itself describes the look as "That easy American styling- that ruggedly masculine look". I've seen the Japanese describe stuff as rugged ivy but its a totally different thing. Tailor Caid's blog and style seems to revolve arround the same influences as UK ivy does.

I went to a wife swapping party last night.  It was pretty good actually - I got a tin of beans for my wife.

They do don't they. I like the h.i.s summer suit ad with the guy in venetians and a suit. A decent summer suit's high on my wants list which is strange given the temp return outside.

"You'll need a bat to beat off the play-mates!" - that one must have left an impression on the young Ted Bundy.

No one says those type of quips anymore do they? Like I was "I was swotting them off like flies" and other deeply dubious descriptions of having to escape legions of women because you are so handsome.
