Liking the shirt Tom.
And Chet gets the 'Lucky 1000th Customer Award' without even trying!
And I dig that shirt Tom, with I could find a LS version
Happy one thousandth, ladies!
Congratulations to everyone for contributing to 1000 pages on the ILSFT thread.
Special shout out to Moose for starting the ball rolling just over seven years ago.
A thousand pages of ivy style, who'd have though it? Enhanced by a strong debut from IanEggbert too, a blazer sportist - excellent.
Welcome aboard Ian - what are you wearing?
It would help if I'd added text to my first photo post! Be gentle with me....
Whether this is strictly "Ivy" (or whether I get laughed out of the place for my choice of retailers for my first post) will shortly become clear if i'm shunned or laughed out of the place. Anyway, there is a method in my madness as most of my time is:
a) spent in a car driving 40k miles a year, or
b) trawling around dirty industrial estates selling things to grubby electrical wholesalers
so whilst I try and retain an element of sartorial "elegance", I have to balance this with the cost of constantly going through the arse of my trousers or having things dry cleaned on a daily basis (neither of which appeals to my wallet!). So, with that in mind, until I can post up pictures of me in more salubrious attire here is one of my "day to day" ensembles:
- Mid 60's US vintage "Langley" 3 button lightweight silk/ wool dark blue with black overcheck jacket (tailored for Gobbles, Fairfield, Iowa
- Luke Eyres striped tie
- Uniqlo sky blue button down
- Next dogtooth check trousers
- Jones chisel toe brown brogues
- Burgundy/ grey houndstooth check socks
Anyway, it's better than overalls and a hard hat........

I know I'm only writing as a new poster, but in a week when Harpo and Harry have been hitting effortless home runs, Billax has only gone and marked the auspicious 1000th page of ILSFT in characteristic form, by knocking it clean out of the park. Immaculate, sir.
Billax, I almost picked that very same jacket up on eBay a couple of months back but I was concerned about the shoulder construction and what looked to me a very long rear vent; can you please comment? I believe it's still listed on eBay... thanks!
Good work Billax.
Here's to the next thousand pages!
