Cheers, Zarr. Thanks everyone. Really enjoyed wearing it.
I had the made-in-India Florsheims and can testify that they were indeed crap.
I now own a NOS pair. However I can't figure what best to polish them with. I used mid-tan Kiwi wax and it accumulated inside the holes and along the pinking, necessitating removal with a toothpick and toothprush. Any thoughts? (apologies, I realise a question like this belongs on the likes of AAAC).

+1 on the cream treatment. I use the Venetian stuff. Just don't apply too much. A little seems to go a long way.

Thanks for all the Florsheim advice fellas, sorry to hijack the thread. Will try to post a photo here next time I wear 'em.

Likewise, Wooly. The hair's lookin' good. Yeah, they finally blew out in the knee while I was changing a tire.
Thanks GW. All the love is greatly appreciated, keep it coming.
The modern Weejuns are a compromise, that's for sure. These are about 5 years old now, so just getting comfortable… But I think I am getting them most of these and they do look good in the hand ( for a "cheap" pair of shoes). I did the "hack" with surgical spirits and polished them using a dark tan wax.
