And another thing, since you brought it up in talking about the Brooks Wash and Wear, O'C's needs to get on the ball with some patch pocket offerings.

agree re O'Connell's needing to get some patch pockets going ... I like Mudhoney's version of "Pump It Up" from the flick PCU ....

Re: Ivy League style for today

I cant remember what was said about the rise on the wool trousers..with the temp plummeting i wondered if it was worth getting them if they had a decent rise...

Also can any of our American friends know or find out if old navy are doing their hi rise tapered cords again this year? They never had mine on their website

Re: Ivy League style for today

Mrs Bop grabbed me a pair last winter from NY...the rise was perfect and the leg tapered to around 8 inches on the 38w. Trouble is they have worn out within the year..but for the price they were decent

Re: Ivy League style for today

I found the Merino wool trouser in store at Uniqlo, gotta say I thought the rise was incredibly low?

I know someone said it was pretty good on here but it was low enough for me not to bother trying them on. Shame as I really want a pair of navy trousers.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I sized up to get a nice medium-high rise. I am 30'' and got 32''. They are slim fit so theres a nice taper to 8''.

Uniqlo only go to 36'' on the waist, I think. So these might not be an option for you if you around the 36 mark.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I'm a genuine 31, but the ones I saw in store were about 10 - 10.5 rise and that was on the 32. So either there is another style of the merino trouser that I could not find or you lucked out on a random pair Chief?

Re: Ivy League style for today

Just compromise Uniqlos. The rise could be higher but apart from that like them...

Lovely color but does not go very well together with my green barbour which I wear almost all the year. All olive is too much of a hunter look.
