It's more a neutral pallet, personally think it needs something to break up the monoteny, I've been wearing leesure frogmouth chino with a white tee and grey sweat, navy cvos on feet. I could have gone for the ecru novesta for a true colour free look. I actually think Oli would have looked better without the hat as his dark hair would have added depth but with it on it turned into a look that tipped over the edge (imo).
That's top stuff, Corno Ultimo! I think loafers would be even better to make it a tad more 40's/50's collegiate, but in the end it is just perfect Like.
Leer, we thought you were dead. Welcome back.
Nope, not dead. Just alot to do (house project) and other interests (like guitar theory and stuff.) And... I am not too Ivy at the moment. Well, there is always like about 60% Ivy but at the moment more Mod I suppose. Or whatever. Not looking too often into Talk Ivy unfortunately.

What? You have better things to with your time...?
Glad to hear it! 😎
CornoUltimo, definitely a good 50s look with the baggier trousers and the bow tie... I don't mind a good bow tie myself, but I'd recommend looking into a smaller one - either narrower, or just a smaller neck size so you don't have as large a bow. You're getting dangerously close to 70s territory... or, with the polka dots, clown tie territory...
One thing that bothers me about a bow tie, anyone's, is how it leaves the shirt placket exposed. I don't why, but it bugs me. A necktie covers this, of course, for more of a seamless look.
I agree about the shirt placket... I think it takes a nice, smooth shirt to pull one off, and a well-cut jacket... I personally think wearing a bow tie with a blazer is wrong, I feel that the gold buttons draw extra attention to the emptiness between tie and jacket... But with the right proportions a suit with bow tie can achieve an A+ professorial look which isn't bad on certain occasions...
Cannot agree with most of the comments on Corno's bow tie. It's the right size, perfect to the lapels! I also can't see why a bow tie is "wrong" to a blazer???
It's a thing that doesn't appeal to anyone and there are personal preferences like Chipper doesn't like it when the placket is exposed (which I wouldn't see so personally but that's ok)...
But it is a good bow tie outfit, very late 1940s to 1950s Ivy League "collegiate" IMO. The bow tie has the right size, a thinner one would be wrong to that lapels, so...
CU overall its very smart. A couple of personally hang ups with this look though. I'm not keen on bow ties and those cuffs appear to be the hem turned up?
