Those cords have really caught my eye there, Derm.
SMF, to give opinion on your question from this side of the pond, I have a group of friends outside of the whole dressing well spectrum, so if I post something on facebook I often get a sarcastic comment like "do you have a fancy dress outfit for that" or similar. It certainly doesn't bother me but I look at what they wear and think what about looking in the mirror, stop dressing like your kids.
Agree, derms been looking good, those glasses suit you much more than the heavier frame and like the beard you swapped with Ox
Derm looks a little like mark Rufallo without his beard.
It suits you Derm.
Acton & woof - thanks for the compliments fellas!
Derm don't ever apologize for posting too much. You've been bringing your A-game (as usual) and I enjoy it.
SMF - I work for a local non-profit and I'm the only one at my level that wears a jacket & tie. It took a little while for people to stop making comments about job interviews and the like, but everyone seems to accept it by now. I like to at least start of the week off right and wear my navy blazer every Monday. That being said I start off well intentioned but by lunch time I've usually taken off my jacket. I almost never wear a full suit unless I have to attend a big event for work that will have more corporate types in attendance. The men in upper management at my workplace cetainly wear jacket & tie, but most of the time it's of the Men's Wearhouse/Jos. A. Bank/ department store variety. It feels like I'm the only one in my city that dresses trad/ivy. I see some southern preppy influences creep up but not too often. Central Florida is geographically in the south but its not what many would consider "The South," so I like to think you get all of the downsides (hot/humid weather, rednecks, etc.) of being in the South without the Southern Hospitality and grace that accompanies it. Also, all the tourism has a big influence on style in this area because most people are in t-shirts & flip flops/sneakers when they're on vacation in this region.
At the holiday party, upper management wore jackets. They wore what they typically wear to work and just dropped the tie. I was definitely the most festive with my get up, but I think you can get away with more stuff at a holiday party compared to a regular day at the office. I might wear the blackwatch sportcoat a couple more times on days where I don't have any meetings with outside clients. It is most definitely pushing it though. It will get a few comments but I don't care because I like it too much and I know I'm still put together in all other areas.
Thanks for the response Leelo, very interesting. Your work situation sounds very similar to Ox's. I give you two credit.
As far as your other comments , I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm in the Daytona Beach area, home of the 500 and Bike Week so I'm going to stick out like a sore thumb in a coat and tie in a sea of denim and black t shirts. At that school event I mentioned, even only with some stone 5 pkts, an LL Bean short sleeve button down and desert boots I felt like I was in white tie and tails (just having my tails tucked in set me apart) I have to admit it did feel good, a sport coat would have been pushing it though. Only for family events and Holidays now, but I admire you two for being able to pull it off.

Oh yeah, baby!
Smedley Isis? Isis is the only polo for me, other Smedley polos collars are too modern. I've got them in many colours and shades but now need to add that blue..
^ i'm not sure what the style is but it's about 20 years old,
the closest now is the Isis but mine has a cream/ecru band on the sleeve ends.

Haha.
Very dashing, Woof. Earthy Ox with the beard coming in strong. Derm becoming the resident Press man.
