Re: Ivy League style for today

Just to point out,
I don't dislike Rods posts, he has his own style and it does have some interesting ivy elements ( with a very obvious 'mod' leaning but that's in his profile name so we shouldn't be surprised) ,
in fact his more ivy influenced pic in the chinos was good and got some interesting notes/criticism from some of the regulars on here.

...sure is.
Anyway, to get back to the starting point of all of this, I think Rods posts reminds me of how I tried to look when I was 15.

Re: Ivy League style for today

How can Rod not be welcome, when we've had individuals in bubble winter coat/Werewolf In London regalia pretending they were sporting Ivy?

Work wear is accepted here, so Rod fits the cannon of Ivy League Style For Today....which should include the diaspora, be it mod or any other Ivy influenced style.

Mod means all things to all people; most people who consider themselves mods don't post on here, and if they did they wouldn't be appropriate. But for those like Rod (and me for that matter) who have ivy elements, it's a different matter. And no one has said he's not welcome.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Rod is welcome, his outfits are fine - plenty of ivy elements and his chino shot was not far off the look at all. Likewise Americana creeps in - be that down jackets or Redwing boots, today I am sporting a pair of very mid-century ivy cut work wear slacks with side adjusters, frog mouth pockets and a cuff, they look great with work boots or loafers - the shoe merely changes the look of the outfit - in fact i love that flexibility in them, so if I wear them with a ocdb and shetland, or a cord sack they are still part of the look - just expanded on.

Ha ha ha!
I bit extreme MCM.
Rod's cool and some of his outfits are too.
I was just poking fun... Banter, joshing, nothing serious.

It was what I believe it's what the millennials refer to as 'bants'. At least he's not got a center parting..

Ivy is as Ivy does...

Don't know what that's supposed to mean exactly but if you say it like Forest Gump it sounds pretty funny.
