Re: Ivy League style for today

I used to love the J. Crew Essentials in Classic fit. The fit is no longer what it used to be, though, like much at J. Crew, unfortunately.

Just as well it is not a Brit you are talking to...

And there should probably be an exclamation mark after 'berk'

Beer looks a bit cloudy - and just in case - I am not a fan of beers that are supposed to look like that.

Re: Ivy League style for today

It is the bestest double IPA in the stores at this moment. Lagunitas Waldos Special Ale. One of the dankest, weediest beers I've ever tasted. 11 percent ABV, too, and 100-plus IBU.

I had to look up 'dank' and I see that in this context it means dark, gooey and potent. 'Weedy' in Britspeak means weak, skinny and ineffectual, of course beer that is 11%ABV is the complete opposite of that. One of them would finish me for the night. The many nuances of the English language!

Is it "Ivy"? - well, if then hipster Ivy. Whatever that means. Imagine a BD instead of the striped Tee and it is more in the vein of mid-60s Folk Festival Ivy:
