Yes, ‘The Quiet man’ was filmed around Cong in Mayo. There is a museum dedicated to the film. I have been to Waterford town many years ago.

I was thinking more of The West when I said Atlantic coastline. An interest in clothes - never mind Ivy - would not be considered typical culchie. Nice area to live though. West of a line from Derry to Glengariff would suit me.

Great colour matching skills there LeeLo. I wouldn't think to wear those socks with that outfit, but they look really great.

LeeLo, I agree... I wouldn't have put gray trousers with that tie or jacket, but it works very well... I do wonder what a lighter brown belt, matching the shoes more closely, would look like... too washed-out? wrong with the trousers? who knows... Either way, that's a beautiful and individual outfit, always good to see rules being "broken" by one who knows them as well as you do, A+...
