NYE party in one of the houses opposite Regents Park tonight - big Georgian things - amazing!
The idea is preppy...
Hackett cabled tennis cardigan - navy with white/red striped plackett
White OCBD from uniqlo(when the collars were good - they're all small now!
White tee underneath
Dark Lee Powell jeans turned up a few times - they sit pretty high
Grey socks from Jack Wills...
White Keds Champs.
Happy New Year!
Ivy-formal New Years Eeve for me:
Vintage sack midnight blue shawl collar tux by Croston and Carr of Boston. Flat front trousers. Late 1950s.
Brooks white oxford
Black narrow silk bowtie
Black Sebago beefrolls.
A day of Protestant Modesty:
The White Brooks 'button-down' shirt.
The Maroon/Gold/Navy Repp.
The Charcoal Blue Sack suit from J. Press (RIP)
Black Sebago Cayman IIs.
Sober Hose the colour of burnt cinders.
Vodka in the freezer ready for Elaine at 9.30am on the dot (We are pushing back our working days this year to allow time for us to do our hair before work...)
Today is a day of meetings and hand shakings. I suspect that we are starting to make my hobby (Accountancy) into something of a business...
Ivy 101 today:
Charcoal lambswool crewneck (Uniqulo)
over green-blue checked OCBD (J. Crew)
Chinos (Uniqulo)
Jack Purcell knock offs (Fila)
And I'm still freezing my butt off - what's wrong with the heating these days?
^
It's yet another one from that huge bag of ivy ties The Thin Repp sent me a while back: black (not navy) and red, 2" wide. 'Diplomat' is the make - 'wear with blue or gray suit'.
Great look Moose even though the shoes are not my style. Absolutly love the colouring.
Who am I to say it, but you could do a lot with the Italian / Anglo / American 'Ivy' Interface as a part of your greater mix, Claudio.
If you wanted.
It's the great lost look.
We still on for that chat tomorrow?
Let's fix a time to make it happen.
PM?
Best,
Jim

Good stuff.
During the '90s, I wore a pair of those same Timbs so extensively they started to rot on the insides. I learnt the merits of rotating pairs the hard way.
Thats a really good look Moose. My compliments to you.
great jacket Moose. Been looking for similar one for some time. Bought a beautiful Huntingdon Loden jobby on ebay last year but it's about 1/2 inch shy in all the wrong places.
