Great as always, Woolster.

Good move on wearing those deadstock items. Can't see the point in hoarding clothes away with their tags - anything which is quite rare or unlikely to be replaced I'd just wear less frequently.

The jacket I particularly like. The colours are good - not garish and over the top like most madras sportcoats, or worse still patch madras.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Doesn't take a genius to spot that patch madras is brass and ugly and that if you don't get a madras sportcoat absolutely spot on you've set yourself up for a shit load of abuse from friends and strangers alike - probably rightly so!

Ville has the eye for both style and finding all these amazing deadstock items. Looks really good.

Wouldn't wear the Bostonians myself, although a great find - even weejuns can stand out if you don't wear them well.

Maximum respect to the Woolster. Fantastic clothes, fantastically well worn. Makes we wanna be young and skinny with hair very much indeed.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Thanks fellas. The jacket is my only madras number. I haven't seen many I would personally wear, but sometimes do like the more bolder ones on others. Depends on rest of the get up I guess.

I love that madras. I've only got the one and I comes out infrequently - especially this bloody Summer.

^ Contrast that with what I'm wearing on the Wild West Wales coast - where late October has come early:

Moss green, vintage Jantzen saddle-shoulder crew neck shetland
Yellow no-name OCBD
Faded 501s (snap)
Black Florsheim imperial longwings
Vintage Gloverall khaki Duffel

Blinkin' heck!
