Thanks - they're the Dockers "San Francisco Tapered Fit" 5-pocket chino. I have a few pairs. For me it's the best current fit around for that trim 60s collegiate look.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I keep looking at these photographs and wonder, is he dressing for work?  Or is he just dressing up?  It's difficult to work out.

He just looks to me like someone dressing for work, in a job where being smart is a requirement, My guess is the law....... though that may be the wood panelling.

If he is a lawyer, why isn't he wearing tasselled loafers?

Tassels are for New York lawyers, Lufty's in Philly where they need gunboats

Re: Ivy League style for today

I dress for work. I am indeed an attorney.

The background decor is not my choosing.

Tassled loafers are traditionally the province of personal injury attorneys, or so we joke here. I prefer gunboats, as I walk everywhere in this dammed city, and single soled shoes wear out far too quickly for my liking, or my wallet.

You've got some nice schmutter, LV, but I always wonder why you stand like you've got some huge cane up your bum... I don't wanna sound like a beatnik, but, man, you gotta relax...

I'm not suggesting drugs or something, just try snipping the fingers or shake your butt a little... whatever's your thing, something's gotta work...

It's all for the sake of the photos and determining fit issues, more than anything else. Also, there's this stick up my ass.

I find it disconcerting not to see the face.  I would never post photographs for all sorts of reasons - including modesty - but Harpo pulls it off with aplomb.  We all see, from time to time, what a good-looking chap he is, thus stirring the loins of the forum's gay contingent.  I do not include myself in this category.

There are two sorts of people; those who post photos of themselves and those who take the piss from the sidelines. My hat's off to Luftvier for his style.

We never see pictures of Patrick any more. I use to enjoy his postings, his clothes and the glimpses of his home life, knowing what breakfast cereal he was eating etc.

Pics have indeed been enjoyable lately, also in part due to Lufty's contributions. Curiously teutonic sounding handle for a Philly attorney.

Luft - I think for the purpose of judging the clothes who cares what face you have, I like people that crop the face it says to me, I don't care about my face, or I'm wanted in several states, and I'm keeping anonymity.

The only thing I'd say apart from putting anything up your arse before the photo is, because your trousers are both very tapered and sit short, which I like, the gun-boots make you look like you have a club foot, I know they have a practical purpose, but why not just get some rubber-soled brogues? I'm having to make the same decision at the moment, two leather soled shoes on rotation in the week are still getting mashed up by the asphalt!

Today's Breakfast Status - Milk from the carton. Maybe some sushi from up the shop if I can be bothered to get dressed.
