Christ, well at least I know. I'll keep me eyes peeled.
^ I've heard of Sierra Trading. I thought it might be in the Sierra Nevada area around Lake Tahoe.
Good stuff but we in UK get stung for customs duty etc. so things become less attractive.
Retricker on ebay is the company shop. The man who runs it is good to talk to about the Northampton shoe trade. These days English shoes are too expensive for the natives. They are happy to keep prices as they were and export their products.
I ain't getting out of that Gloverall until about next May!
Me neither! Dark navy for me, with lighter wooden toggles
There was a young guy behind me in the post office the other day. Navy duffle coat, hair cut neat. I should have looked at his feet first. Cheap trainers and the puddle.
Rain and wind here in Manchester today.
Vintage Sero BD Candy Stripe
Burgundy shetland crew by London Fog
Pakeman Catto & Carter 8 Wale Cords (more pricier than my usual Beans but a great fit)
Old Sebago loafers ( very comfy almost like a pair of slippers)
^ Sounds nice.
Hopefully as warm and sunny here as it was yesterday.
That Brooks madras half sleeve from the recent finds thread (arrived yesterday)
Grey Sweatshirt
Old 501s
A nearly disintegrated pair of Clarks dessies
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to wear Clarks' desert boots in that fashion. I was sniffy about them at first, but came to appreciate their qualities in at least two ways. Firstly, they kept my feet dry when walking through rock pools in Britanny. Secondly, I didn't go arse over tit when wearing them in the snow and ice last winter. Furthermore, I can put them on when I'm doing odd jobs in the garden like shifting compost around and they still scrub up well enough for me to be able to nip to the shops in them.
Welcome, Richard!
Yes, they do take abuse really well, don't they? Last weekend we were in Porto and they were the only pair of shoes I had with me. Got them soaking wet walking on the beach one day so when we got back to our hotel I just crammed them under a fully heated radiator. And in an hour they were good to go again!
Welcome Richard, on my behalf as well!
Good to make your acquaintance chaps.
Still raining here:
Much the same garb today apart from 501's and an old tailored BD from my youthful moddier days.
Also had one of these to shield me on the way to the bank,

Not ivy in the slighest but keeps you dry as a bone and a godsend for 50 odd squid (pardon the pun).
I had a Guy Cotten just like that, can't fault it for a throw on, but I got it for walking over a distance of a few miles and whether it rained or not I was still left soaking, great to have one in the back of the car though.
....and the Guy Cotten

Conch fritters, man! Now you talkin' - I developed a taste for them in the Bahamas (where the conch is king!), great with Island peppers and a cool can of Kalik......... mmmmmmm.
