......and here.
Just a relaxed morning doing some chores.
A real low budget look today..... Sand Desert Boots from TJ Hughes, Target Cherokee stone chinos, and a RL 3bd in blue/green tattersall check from Marshalls.... a pink M&S cotton crewneck sweater to hand if needed
Those Cherokees are a great good-looking functional Chino - Which is the point of this type of trou. after all. Good call!
Navy and white today
navy flip flops
navy cotton shorts
navy white web belt
white Brooks oxford cloth shirt
^ Right. I'm having that!
Olive Poplin Sack - Check.
White OCBD - Check.
Madras tie - Check.
But not today...
Brownshoe style Gingham BD (Navy/White from Bean) for me today with some Khaki shorts, Hanes white T. & a pair of Camp Mocs.
- I'll do The Patrick Look on Monday!

Ahhhh! I have a Press Khaki , a Brooks Olive & a Haspel Grey. I must now buy a Tan!
Thanks -
Today:
The Seersucker Jacket at last! Blue/White. Brooks.
Dark Blue Polo shirt, unbuttoned. Landsend.
Pale Chinos. Not quite Stone, but a very pale Khaki. Bean.
Wine Surcingle belt. Press.
Dirty Bucks - Walkover.
Lunching & schmoozing...
I guess this is not straight Ivy, more continental ivy.
Vintage one-button greeinsh/grey sharkskin suit with interesting textured fabric. Side vents, shoulders more natural that most, not quite sack-natural though.
Sand and white striped tab collar, 2.5 inch midnight blue, white and tan repp tie.
Older photo, my hair is cropped now.

I call it Ivy-the tab collar makes it so.
Tab collar was a really big mod thing.
Then it died out in the UK for some reason. Shame.

Wide ties with large knots.
Cool look BoO
Sorry for cruddy pic
white ss seersucker 3BD shirt w/ flap pocket
navy linen jeans rolled up
tan penny loafers
Hot as a motherscratcher
Nice looking shirt there Brownshoe, can't really tell about the rest but I'm sure its good as usual. I'm curious about that shirt, it sounds so unique and it fits much better in the sleeves than most short sleeve shirts. MTM?
Thanks, it's an otr Polo Blue label shirt I found on sale. I loved the details and fit and grabbed it. I'll try to get a better picture.
Navy blue linen shirt with seersucker

A great look, Brownshoe - I did something very similar at the weekend with a dark blue polo shirt, Seersucker & Chinos. The contrasts work very well I think.
After copying Patrick to good effect yesterday (Olive Sack, White BD, Madras tie, Fairmount Cordos) I'm back to looking like a bum again today - White T., Madras 3btn collar Shirt (Red/Gold/Green), Khaki shorts, Camp Mocs.
Life goes on... ![]()
I forgot to say, but I loved the kinda 'Mad Men' look of BoO's latest offering above. It's certainly an Ivy look - One of many, which is another strength of the style - There is no one look. No Curriculum.

A lovely Autumn day here! ![]()
sand desert boots, brick red piqué socks, 'on the way out' slim jeans in an odd and not particularly appealing black/blue wash, old black belt, tattersall BD (off-white with beige, wine and black overcheck), hairy Brooks 2B tweed sack jacket.
This morning's look. First day of work after a 3 day weekend. Had Monday off to write dissertation. Spent Monday in a beer garden.
Vintage 3/2 sack, lighter-than-navy blue hopsack, patch pockets, hooked vent.
Short-point broadcloth tab collar.
2 inch burnt orange, light blue and navy stripe tie.
Slim worsteds. Side adjusters instead of loops. 7.5 inch bottoms, no turn ups.
Oxblood weejuns.
Sunburn and some short cropped hair.

Lots to like here, but that crop is especially really working for you, Sir.
... Every new crop is a step into the unknown, but few go back once they've taken the plunge.

I am a big fan of Target Cherokees as well. Just lately I have noticed Target have an even higher grade of chinos/khakis under their Merona label for only $24.99. I have been very tempted to get a pair, but I am pretty well fixed for khakis at the moment. I suspect the Target Meronas might be almost competitive with the legendary Bill's, but not having ever examined a pair of the latter, I can't say for sure.
Lesson #7: If you insist on wearing khakis and a blue shirt to work, at least try to do it properly.
Dark brown penny loafers (touch of Ebay mystery: 'Westbury' - this is usually a C&A own-brand, but I don't think C&A will have sold Goodyear-welted shoes for at least 15 years. Also a (US?) size 9. A UK 9 would be too big.)
Black/dark red/off-white Burlington cotton argyles
Lightweight H&M button-fly khakis
Heavy brown leather belt
Blue Brooks slim fit OCBD
Natural-coloured G9

Damn, this thread of yours is good, Moose - More hits over here than the 'Boom Years' thread (When Mr. Jeeves moved the handfull of threads which kick started this forum over here from the main 'Wardrobe' forum the view counter went back to zero).
I love that new Weejun look Patrick - And the great thing with the new El Salavdors is that by this time next week they'll have molded to your feet perfectly. The break-in time is now a lot shorter with Weejuns thanks to the new leather & construction of them. It's good to be able to say something positive about the drop in Weejun quality!
I'm a mess today: White Hanes T., Bean Khaki shorts, Camp Mocs, Blue Brooks shirt worn like a jacket (unbuttoned, untucked) with the sleeves rolled... And I've got toast crumbs down my front.

Slim khakis
Blue & white striped Italian BD by Bagutta (quite nice but I still prefer heavier American BDs)
Black suede Clark's desert boots (beaten up, more charcoal now)
Black suede belt
Navy & blue windowpane socks
Black leather doesn't go that well with khakis but black suede isn't too bad.
