Excellent look Woolster, colours working well, are the brogues Imperials?
Will have to get my cord suit tailored up and worn, nice spring/autumn weight.

Cheers Ville. What's your cord suit like Tom, is it a wide or thin cord and in what colour? I'd love a cord suit, there's a picture of Anthony Perkins wearing onone in a nice slim cut in HATIL, looks great.

Tom, the shoes are Executive Imperials. Not really 'imperial quality', but some cheapo big ass shitkickers. I love 'em really. I'd love a cord suit too. Really tempted to get that McGregor on Zach's shop.

Some nice shots of James Coburn in a cord suit from the movie "Charade", in this thread.   http://forums.filmnoirbuff.com/viewtopic.php?id=8056

Re: Ivy League style for today

Suit was picked up at the Paul Smith warehouse sale, not exactly ivy I know but it's a lovely cut. Thin wale in a tan colour. Jacket is obviously not a sack with a slimmer mod cut, the trouser need to be finished, but will get them tapered in a little to compliment the jacket.

Birthday today, got a lovely summer weight peacoat off my lovely lady in a cream cotton. Off to the Barbican to see the Bauhaus show before afternoon ales.

Re: Ivy League style for today

lt's probably because i'm increasingly being surrounded in mud as winter approaches. Wet weather and mud sucks.

As it gets wetter and l get older, l will become grumpier and grumpier. And one day when l grow old l may need an old stick when it gets muddy, so it will be an old stick in the mud.
