Also, any chance of some close up pics of your new shoes? They look nice.

Re: Ivy League style for today

That's the USA made Marks and Spencers one, that got posted on the ebay thread as while back. I hated it at first, main problem is shoulder to shoulder is half an inch tight, but because it's not perfect I seem to wear it more for day to day stuff.

Patrick, that's a meaty herringbone. And on the shirt too. Double Herringbone! Awesome stuff.

Bop, I love that look. I can really see the Watts inspiration coming through in those pics.

I've a US made Marks and Sparks shirt too. I like it. Very billowy. I think it's a size too big really but the details are good.

Does your placket make a crinkly noise? If you don't mind me asking.

No I don't think it does. The previous owner may have used it to keep Kit Kats in*? Check it and see if they have left some tin foil tucked behind there.

* I was at school with a chocolate mad lad who hid chocolate in his shirt, behind his tie, under his collar and tucked up into the placket of his shirt. He used to eat it in class when he thought no one was looking. I'm pretty sure he has diabetes now.

I found a Picnic, and a Marathon, I can now date the shirt as being, pre-Snickers.
