A day indoors for me too. I was mainly wearing.. Black and grey herringbone tweed sack made by Jay Briggs of San Francisco, JS green cord popover, uniqlo white T, Levi's made and crafted chinos and M&S slippers.
The dreaded works christmas party :
Gitman Bros ivory bd
Olive Flannels bough from Amazon and tapered to 7.5 no cuff
Alan Paine Talbot black cardigan
Bugatti mac black
City Sport cap
Chunky tie rack scarf
Sounds good RB.
I had my wife's works party on Friday night and then a dinner with some colleagues and chums on Saturday night, same outfit for both:
Alden longwings #8
Officer Pinks
JSA candy/uni stripe in blue with chest flap pocket
CWC re-make 1970 chronograph on Nato strap
Brooks dark grey herringbone
Finished with a navy knitted tie from J.Press

I like it too, but if going by convention isn't a lightweight wash n wear jacket and a madras tie a bit out of season?
I should hope it's a house party and you will be travelling door to door with something warm on top. It's -1 here just now. I imagine it's only slightly warmer in the south.
The outfit I love though. Madras, chambray and a khaki wash and wear. That's a winner.
For me:
White thermal under shirt
Lion of Troy Hopsack s/s popover
Tartan loungey about trousers
Big wool fishing socks
Not leaving the house. Not even if it's on fire.

Well, I thought this, but it wasn't that cold, and it was indoors, was gonna wear the tweed, but would've melted!
Aye, it's Summer rules if you are indoors at a sweatbox house party. Tweed would be no good. No point in looking any more red faced than you would with all that lovely christmassy booze.
Welcome Millenial88, there is a distinct lack of Americans on this forum in my opinion.
So you are doubly welcome, hope you had a nice afternoon in Brooklyn.
Picking up some shoe repairs from Rushtons and some pulled pork from Bodeans today and as the weather can't make up its mind,
Brugundy Weejun Logans (Macintosh galoshes in the bag just in case),
Grey/blue/yellow Burlington Argyles,
Jil Sanders charcoal garbadine trousers,
uniqlo grey stripe OCBD,
vintage wool tartan tie,
herringbone 'Keydge for John Simons' jacket,
Baracuta tan raincoat.
all topped off with a City Sport buckle back cap.
