We shall rename this section of the thread, Manhunt.... my only crime was a crime of passion! I'm innocent really, I'm going to plead insanity, brought on by long bouts of ebay trawling.

Re: Ivy League style for today

When I say black watch cap I mean black watch cap not Blackwatch cap... that would look horrible! But yes I did notice the LL Bean shirt yesterday. The double plaid worked I think. Liked it.... but I think I prefer the simple blue under the Pendleton.

These ones are US made surplus, cheap cheerful but are acrylic. Not really a problem for me as I tend to lose them or wear them out so it's good just to have something throw away but that is still authentic. I've had about 5 from this seller I reckon. Before that I had US military surplus ones that were all wool. But that seller isn't around any more unfortunately.

You can almost see what you're wearing moose!

Leer, Beckmans have been easy, no rubbing, little stiff for the first couple of wears but no more than other shoes. The new ones are from a different tannery, my are from Horween so they might be stiffer, lovely boots, but then again my last pair we fantastic too, just had the wrong size for 15 years!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love the overshirt.

I've a very similar hat too somewhere. Must dig it out.

Cool look overall. It's a look I'd certainly wear and get close to myself often, CW.

AC, I know what you're saying. I suppose it still has the ivy aspects but means I don't stand out too much...which at Uni is probably a good thing as I could see a lot of snowballs coming my way if I was decked out in a sack suit and some longwings.

Just show them some 1949 McGregor Campus adverts CW, point out where the other students are going wrong, they will soon come round to your thinking. Especially if you threaten them.
