I can certainly take your word as I'm pretty sure you have more jackets than the combined membership of the forum. A photo would be grand though if you get the time.

They do appear to have a slightly lower plimsoll line than my brand of choice modern Vans. Similar to vintage Vans when they had the Van Doren label. Less skate more sea. I may buy a pair for trashing over Summer.
I think they may have been buried into the shag pile a little bit there Liam, although they don't have the depth of sole like the Vans they're not low profile. I did look at the Vans but I'm not paying that for something I will no doubt destroy on my bike. Same goes for the CPO's would've loved a pair. Also just to point out my last pair of Asos trainers did last 4 years! So I hold out some hope.

In that case then, yes. You'd probably want the vamp a bit higher on a skate shoe for protecting the ankle. For all those trick you'd do like the Tic-tac, Walking the Dog, and the 720 McTwist.
