WM. Re the specs - just lean your head to one side. Cheap effective.

Re the jacket. Its fine but needs a tie and blue or white ocbd. Smarten up dood.

WM - Like it a lot. I will echo that it is a great color for you. I I think that you will be able to get a lot of wear out of this jacket. I want to see a yellow wool challis foulard tie with that!

Nice jacket, but I think it's a touch too big for you.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  It's not a 39R is it?

Re: Ivy League style for today

No.  Any feedback welcome.  There's no marked size.  It's 17" across shoulder, 31" from bottom of collar to hem, and 20" across chest from the measurements I just took.  I feel the 2nd button closure is a little lower than I like, which may indicate that this was tailored for a taller person.  That's why I mentioned my unease with the button stance.  I feel the chest fits fine and the shoulders are to my liking.  I like the overall length.

Thus far one "nay" out of a handful of "yays".  Thanks for the 2 cents Senor.  Yuca's estimation does hold weight though.  We'll see if any more opinions trickle in.  I do like that it sits in stark contrast to all the recent Brooks Bros. shorties posted today.

Not every jacket, shirt and trouser I have fit the same. I really like havin options of different fits. Especially when it comes to sport coats and chinos.

For example, if I'm wearing boots I like baggier pants. I have two brooks sacks blazers they are identical but one is a little tapered... It's IMO cool to sport varied fits of otherwise identical items.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Tattersall and plaid wool! Come on AC! That's a classic combination.

Love the Topsman first and foremost.  Now I see what all the fuss is about.

But separate to that the combination of Ivy button down Tattersall and quintessentially American Pendleton is the best example of what happens to the English country classics when the Americans get their mitts on them. It doesn't look crusty or old mannish and it is a look that would not look out of place in town.

Really well put together Moose.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Good looks AC and Moose.  Seeing the topsman in action has really got me itching to wear mine.  I like that more subtle plaid of yours.
