My playboys never rubbed but they were a bit tight on the toes, quite narrow.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I got my Desert Earls from the Schuh website a few months ago, don't know whether they're still doing them.

Mine are definitely LESS sleek in shape than my Clarks Desert Boots: they have a slightly squared toe. This appears to be evident in your photo, Liam. It put me off when they first arrived but I'm not hung up on it.

Mine were comfy from day one.

I'm also into the chunkier heel, they feel a lot more rugged than the standard DBs.

Palm Beach were great. A bit of a mixed bag, but when they were good they were very very good.
I'd ignore the sniping from the sad man, Halby.

I've definitely seen some alright Palm Beach stuff.  You gotta watch old Sogs, he'll cut you like a dang knife.

Welcome HalbyDurzell our friend Soggs is a very straight guy but the advantage is

He is a good fella and when he approves he will let you know also.

Fair enough. That's actually my bike / junk / coat / sweater / cat food storage room which also happens to be where the mirror currently resides. Is post-apocalypse ivy not yet a thing?

Re: Ivy League style for today

To think, keeping coats and sweaters in the "junk" room.  For shame!  Meanwhile AC is contemplating the best method to store his tweeds, as merely hanging them carefully in the closet is not suitable storage.  I recently just put my most prized tweeds in hanging suit bags, AC, FYI.
