I got mine on etsy Oli.. not sure on its date. But cut looks similar.
They are fairly slim in the body, least mine is. Sleeves could be a touch longer but I actually find it was was a very comfy shirt to wear and had a great roll - which grew more pronounced as the day went on. Over priced I guess but I was on my honeymoon and didn't really care - it looked good on and that was all that mattered.
I also thought most of the jackets were decent when I went in, pretty much all were made by Southwick and those I tried on had a good shoulder. They were winter weight so not sure if the same stock - I wasn't buying anyway - Best thing was I had on my vintage Robert Kirk herringbone jacket, which they were all over, even the chap from the barber area can over to check it out.
I was just in the shop a couple of weeks ago and wasn't too impressed by their jackets. I'm pretty sure they always have the tweeds and herringbones on display, regardless of season. I guess it doesn't make much of a difference in San Francisco. I may go back and try out the trousers though, just to see what they're stocking.
What's the story and relationship behind Robert Kirk and Cable Car? Were they originally an English men's outfitter that was transplanted to San Francisco? I've seen a lot of British imports (silk ties and other accessories) and assume they were an English tailoring company that originally sold to Cable Car Clothier and then eventually merged into one and the same? Does anyone know the history?

Here you go, Oli.

Gee - I just noticed their price went up by $20. Goes to show all this made in the US stuff is not getting any cheaper.
It's not good to hoard, ever.
But if you guys find quality things on sale, then it would be a good idea to stuck up on those items that are essentials.
I wonder for how long these companies will keep manufacturing these items? Even the Brooks and Press. OCBD's went up significantly in price in the last year. As vintage items get older, these manufatures are all that remains of the look and from what I see from the way guys are dressing at the offices, this seems like the last hurrah.

Cable Car is old school. It has done its best to ignore the internet. One would not be incorrect to surmise that catalogs and mail order are cutting edge technology for them.
I like the shirt Tom. I don't really favor true half sleeves over true short sleeves.
Halby and Ox, you guys are looking splendid as well.
^ love this pic Tom. Are you wearing chinos or really light blue denim?
^ That's a killer shirt!
Tom, you're looking tops lately man. I think those are LVC's right? I bought the same pair from the hot rod series about a year ago but accidentally ordered them too small. I'm stowing them away to see if I'll ever fit into 'em again. That FC is linen, right?
They are my original 60s White Levis high waters (again) what your HotRods are based on and my Stone ones i'm wearing with the CCC shirt. Oli, if you ever decide to move the LVC on, I want first bids pal.
Shirt is indeed the Fizzy linen, Henry kindly asked for use on the Fitzgerald's FB page, hope it doesn't turn people away - hahahahaha
Wooley, that is a wonderful looking shirt - How come I didn't find this hahahaha!
FYI the popover went for $69.55. Yeah, I think I probably should have dished out more for that.
That's a cool shot up there Tom.
