^ I thought Serling died as a result of complications relating to a congenital heart defect (which was also implicated in the death of his father) during experimental open-heart surgery in 1975.

This is a cracking biography of him as it explores his life and not just his TV output,
Serling: The Rise and Twilight of Television's Last Angry Man - Sander, Gordon F. (1992).

Shooey, those shoes are beautiful, but I think it's safe to say that at this point, I wouldn't wear most of your shoes.  No offense, it's just a taste thing.  I'm sure you get that and you'd say the same to me.  But I can appreciate what you see in them.

Your shoes are just on another level than what most of us ivy guys are into. Have you done any more ivy experimentation lately?

Yes.  I for one, am more impressed by the look, rather than the feel.  Not that the two are mutually exclusive.  Often things that are cheap and of poor quality will display that fact.  But I'm far more into fit and aesthetic.  Quality is sort of a nice plus and I can appreciate it, but not the essential starting point.  I wear freaking poly blends.

Err.... maybe 3 years old?  Collar ain't bad considering it's got a fused lining and has been crammed in my closet.  Perhaps the fused lining actually helps it in that regard.  Gives it a little resilience.

They're obviously must-iron.  I sat down maybe twice and now I look like I've got whiskers growing out of my crotch.  Which, I do.

They've got a legit fly, which is nice.

More importantly, what did you have to eat? Did you wash it down with a Bohemia?

Chile relleno and a chalupa. Lots of chips, salsa and guacamole.  I just had a Coke, no alcohol.  Still drying out from last weekend.  But a good friend's group is playing tonight.  If I go, drink is unavoidable.

I'm with shooey - style /fit is more important than names or quality or price. If it looks good it is good.

WM - I keep meaning to ask - have you got any trousers with a Hollywood waistband/belt style? I keep thinking about them every time you post a high rise pic. I wonder if they work with a tapered look?
