Woops.  Uhm... looks great man.

I do wear my desert boots with olive trousers sometimes, exactly as you are here.  But then I think I should have worn black shoes.

Re: Ivy League style for today

One thing I do have a problem with is more than one green - or green-ish - item of clothing in an outfit. Maybe it's because I'm Irish and don't want to look like a leprechaun? But whereas I can wear three shades of blue, or grey, brown jacket and khaki trews, olive slacks and a green jacket or green shirt always feels wrong.

Some solid stuff going on from everyone.
Digging Harpo's 'satanic glare' vibe, he's probably been down to sell his soul to the devil at the crossroads (on the A48 for Porthcawl and Ogmore-by-Sea wink).

You're right about that.  Fine sweaters.

Very nice Jaakko.

I'm really into the Pendleton Captaing.  I do love a crisp white t-shirt and I've been known to wear just that, with some dark jeans.  A classic look IMO, but some people will call you "Fonzie" and that's just fine.

I've got a really furry and very old Lord Jeff mohair in a nice mustardish yellow.  When did LJ come on the scene?

Re: Ivy League style for today

1930s I believe. The company went through several iterations. The focus on knitwear started somewhere around the late 60s I think. They were sold a few times.

The prep revival years were very good for them. As that fizzled in the late 80s they were in big trouble. Competition was outsourcing, and though not a mom and pop, LJ was tiny compared to competitors. There was no money or time to diversify. I think they entered chapter 11 in 1991 or 1992. The criminal boss of the scam company Aqua Buoy bought the company in the bankruptcy.
