Thanks, I actually meant to include that. It ends less than an inch above the bottom of my... bottom. Maybe 2 centimeters.
I usually try to get my jacket hem to fall right at my thumb knuckle. That's the sweet spot for me.

Bop's beautiful "golden ratio" thread, where we really dorked out on this.
Interesting. Then I may actually not worry about it, especially because that green tweed is my shortest fitting coat- most of mine are vintage BB which end about a half inch lower. I have an old Southwick that I happened upon at a thrift store for something like $5. Its size isn't marked but I think it fits me on the conservative end of Ivy- it ends just below the tip of my thumb and it just covers my ass. When I wear it, I feel like I look rather frumpy compared to when I'm in my other jackets.
And thanks for the link, WM. It looks like I wear my jackets similarly to you, which makes me feel more confident to say the least.
Joey, in that second pic you posted it looks to be a perfect length, based on where it hits your thumb. This would be in sticking with the "rule of thumb" talked about in that other thread. Sometimes it's difficult to judge the fit of an outfit from a single picture.
What are those Oliver? Quoddy or some such?

Thanks everyone for the discussion and the kind words as well.
The flapped breast pocket on the corduroy jacket really trips my trigger.
Rancourt loafers are #1 on my footwear wishlist. They've got some great looking stuff.

ps - cuff or not, the chinos look good, ox!
Joey, I'm 6'2" and I always go for L(long) sizes as a matter of course. It usually counts most in the arms and I'd agree with some other posters, you could do with another inch there on that jacket's sleeves. I've even started going L on alpha size shirts now as the standard L(large) is around 34-35 and I really need 35-36.
Nice looking jacket though!
Admittedly I'd dig it even more if it were 3 inches longer with a rear hooked vent, but that doesn't stop me from wearing it. It's still a dead cool jacket!
Ox, thanks ... double-soled mocs rule!
Ollie, those Rancourt beefroll mocs are really nice ..... I'm not into weird stitching and other details that move the style into fashion, those ones you posted look great ...
killer for the dorm they were ... just not meant for hard city streets ... they don't have the cushioning or support you need for a long walk.
