Re: Ivy League style for today

I find myself REALLY offended and deeply disturbed by the bigoted conversation going on here today.  As a confirmed pedophile I was hoping this would be a more tolerant place!

Re: Ivy League style for today

You are, John Boy. Me too wink

Hell, what a fuss! I do agree that this on here shall be all about clothes... If I cared about what's posted on here with political or religious background... I would see at least one anti-Islam Muslim-hater, a whole lot of radical anti-Catholics that see the end of the world in Catholic schools (especially if they are sort of boarding boys schools - in Germany the biggest abuse scandal of all time happened in a clearly left wing boarding school for boys and girls with a big focus progressive education - it is the SYSTEM, not the church that supports abuse), some Antisemites (that hide beneath "critisizing Israel"), some lefties, some conservatives...

I am a non believing leftie myself, my wife is slighty left wing but a believer (my daughter is christened), my two best friends a Greenie and a Conservative. I loved Liam who was a Greenie, and I really like another poster (not because of his clothes) that is an intellectual radical leftie. Who cares? Karl Marx was ok, his idea of communism was great - very similar to the original (early) Christians... What later happened is a bloody ridiculous farce.

Talk Ivy, mates smile We all believe in the power of conservative American East Coast Clothing. Yes, I believe in that!

Jdemy - rise on the uniqlos is 11" so not massive but does the job for me! Tommy - got the shirt from an Etsy seller but have bought a few shirts from Oliver at Fitz's Closet before, met him in person too nice bloke! Paid 139 for the brogues in JS, would love to get down to Brighton if they go that cheap! Quite good timing with them too as they went on the facebook page the day before I travelled to London, so phoned up and reserved them straight away! Great to have a chat with John and Paul as well

Re: Ivy League style for today

alright, going back a couple of days to shout out some nice things:

Halby in the tennis sweater, ocbd, mocs and baseball cap, nice one in the haters' faces

Tomiskinky at the Tate doing the blazer justice

Ox's 10/21/14 regimental repp tie in two greens, burgundy and gold

Tommy's natural-type Bostonian longwings and the blue shadow plaid Pendleton and pink ocb combo

WM's unlabeled possibly Lord Jeff v-neck Shetland sweater and university-striped ocbd combo

the arm of the eyeglasses outside Patrick's shirt pocket

Patrickf's great Brookstweed 3/2 patch with the soft gray Pendleton, inspired, and the navy trousers with nice break, perfect with your gray tweed, and the socks were good too

Worried Man's clean Harvard Coop patch pocket sport coat and natural haircut

Sancho's good shoulder, rolling ocbd, and quiet tie and brown pennies

Jack's vintage Arrow short-sleeved buttondown collar and vintage USA-made brogues

John Boy - good Shetland crewneck

Leer's chilled-out v-neck, ocbd, jeans and Red Wings combo

everybody's looking very sharp lately ......

I myself am wearing an Anvil t-shirt and a pair of Champion cotton shorts and watching the football

going to put on some Sportifs and a long-sleeved Champion t-shirt and go for a walk in the surf ............

Re: Ivy League style for today

As a guide I brought  a pair of bostonian long wings for £50. Have seen bass sportisacans for £35 and near perfect florishem imperials for £75 amongst other things.  All made in the USA.  To be worn again tend to specialise in Americana,  immediate more mod. Tbwa were doing Pendleton board and fireside shirts for 30-50 recently.

Stan, thanks for the levity and the astute clothing-related observations.
