Look ,i didn't mean pairing moc's with flannels what do you think i am ?
Some sort of Blucher moc nut (i do own four pairs).
No i meant flannels with shoes, hopefully Mercer does own a pair of shoes.
If he can afford Red-wings , i am guessing he has some dynamite dress shoes ?

Is that blazer navy or black? In my opinion, and it's just an opinion, those cowboy boots have got to go. They're really throwing me for a loop. I really like the shirt and the sweater. Khakis or some nice tan worsted trousers would really fit the bill.
On the contrary, that's a typical American crack house.
Its funny how the mother church can program you as a kid , whenever i hear someone say they have been to mass, i automatically feel guilty.
Mercer, i commend you for being in a state of grace and your weight loss regime .I don't want to be nosy but i am presuming you are maybe
returning to a love of clothes after maybe many years of it not being up there on your list of priorities.
With this being an Ivy forum some of the items you have selected for mass today will never bring a lot of compliments on here.
The question is are you happy with them ? because if you are its all good and its really the only opinion that counts.
However if you are interested in Ivy and want some advise and direction , then you are at the right place.

WM, love that cord sack - delicious, Bop jazzed as ever. Mercer - those boot those boots haha, you go man, on an aside, you don't look overweight in your pics, but sounds like you have a target so crack on fella, wait to see you in your new finery once the goal is achieved.
Ox, solid - love the look of those houses behind you.
It can be done, at my largest I was 23 stone, not sure what that is in pounds to be fair half was fat half was muscle. I had quite a tough manual labour job, now I work inside in the warm, don't eat sugar and don't go near weights or the gym and Im 16.5 stone...the secret is to get your insulin levels down, which doesnt mean cutting calories but by which I mean avoid simple or added sugar.. and for me it meant no weightlifting and switching to cycling and walking.
So yeah you don't even need to exercise that much! Oh and if you drink stick to red wine, cider turned me into a balloon

I have a pal who is 6'9" he is trying to shift his belly but is obsessed with doing weights, he does cycle a fair bit - keep trying to tell him to lay off the weights and work on the cardio stuff, maybe do spinning classes at his gym, but he just says he has to d weights to have the muscle to carry himself.
Read a great thing the other week about the benefits of eating pasta cold and recooked as it turns the carbs into fibre - perfect for those trying to shift weight.

Oh yeah and the one other thing that's really important is take vitamin D3, if you dont take D or get sunshine your body actually goes into hibernation and starts to store fat round your organs and your middle.
Great bit of evolutionary design to get us through long winters with no food, but fucking useless now we have a McDonald's on every corner.
Or take this guys advice...
( I would urge our Transatlantic cousins to watch this because I think it's Brit humour at it's best.)

Thank all. I shared the picture because I thought that you guys would enjoy the scenery than my Barbour, but I appreciate that I was spared the wrath.
My neighborhood (about 2 miles of historic homes) was very swanky 150 years ago, but now it is home to a few well preserved homes (under 10), a lot more dilapidated rentals, a few large churches and 3 Funeral Homes. I tell people that I live on an "okay block in a not-so-great neighborhood." The foot traffic is undesirable (addicts and mental health issues), but it is cheap, close to work, and scenic.
Nice combo, Bop.
