Re: Ivy League style for today

I have a pair of Doctor Marten's Greasy Gibsons, bought about 25 years ago, they still look good (clean them with good old fashioned football dubbin), especially when worn with a pair of selvedge jeans, OCBD and G9. Although I'm not a fan of what they do now, just an opinion.

I had a pair of greasy gibsons too, bought from Spritelet Club in Leeds circa 88/89, they were a dark brown colour - worn at the time with vintage levis and cord jacket, probably a polka for shirt too!! Aciiiiiddddd.

Bang on Tom, that or an Indie pop band member. I bought mine from Chapman's in Camberley, an old fashioned shoe shop that sold Loakes & Grensons. We have the Royal Military Academy close by, and it's where all the Hooray Henry Officer types would by their shoes from. We also had a Gieves & Hawkes in Camberley too at one time, along with Alkit which was apparently owned by Jon Moss from Culture Clubs, Father. Both these shops also catered for the Officers. BTW I still have mine although they're a bit worn down.

Top ivy v-neck action from Patrick and WM. Real clothes being worn in real life.

The look of sheer joy at the discovery of that tartan vest just warms my heart on a cold January evening wink

You got Style WM, you can't buy that. Also like the action shot Patrick.

Thanks Harry.  I may not be a Harvard grad, but it sure is fun to dress the part.(There's a slight joke in there somewhere)

I managed to overlook Patrick's shots, but we were both obviously feeling the v-neck vibe.  Looking good Patrick.  Trouser detail please?

Mercer, I'm still confused about why you post on an Ivy forum in outfits like these...

In my opinion Mercer is welcome here as he is a good guy (and i like him).
However i have to agree and i think we need clarity, this isn't Ivy in any shape or form that i understand.

Thanks AC, Czar.  The socks threw me a bit, but I'm keen on all else.  Are those the AE Bradleys?
