Re: Ivy League style for today

Y'all too kind.

I think "Ivy perfection" may be taking it too far, Woof, but I'll gladly take the compliment.

If I were to take inventory, I have more legit 3-button sacks than 3/2.  I think... Well, at least in tweeds and cool weather jackets.  I've got a slight torso, so I really think slimmer lapels and a 3-button stance help a bit.  Again, all depends on the jacket.

Nice outfit WM. I especially like the colour and cut of those moleskins.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Thanks men.  I'll say this about the moleskins, they don't hold a crease worth a damn.  Nature of the fabric I guess.  But these are some of the softest, most comfortable cold weather pants I own.  More comfortable than the OC's flannels.  A possible point of interest to some is the fact that I did not put these under the knife for any sort of taper.  The leg openings measure a full 9" across.  Just fine for winter trousers worn with some big fat bastards.

Re: Ivy League style for today

And doing it quite well!

Sid, I don't have large feet.  Those shoes are a US 8.5.  Had I tapered these down to my usual 7.5 - 7.75" hem, they would look pretty ridiculous with a larger lace up shoe.  They are a pretty generous cut from top to bottom.  I should get a profile pic to really show the cut a bit better.

Worried Man, fantastic look. This is exactly the kind of jacket that I'm after. What is it if you don't me asking?

Great stuff guys! I need more shetlands in my life.

Jack, are they recent Uniqlo chinos? They look good, not too slim and a decent enough rise for the price.

Re: Ivy League style for today

The sweater is 'salmon' WM..! Uncle Ian it's a size 1, i'm a 37/38 chest and it fits pretty well. Was expecting to be caught out with a bid in the last few seconds like usual but happy to claim that victory! Martyn - pretty sure I bought them in October, they should still be in stock if you fancy a pair
