Re: Ivy League style for today

As expected from such a top drawer stylist as yourself Cap ..... cool What model are they? May well be able to persuade to Mrs Chuck to auction off some (more) of her less vital organs in pursuance of footwear excellence . That said, I'm attempting to break in a pair of Beckmans - with painful results .... caused quite a stir at the VE day celebrations topped off with my Casey Jones hat !

Dang.  Is that sunburn or were you standing on your head?  Or perhaps you were just subjected to the latest radio single by Daughtry?  In any event, I'm humbled by the dedication it took for you to get your face to that particular hue.  I think it really works great with the outfit.

And Sunra, those khakis are just some no-name no-iron things I found at the thrift store tapered to a 7.5" hem.  Kind of shoddy overall, but they have a good rise and are totally acceptable.

^ Dang indeed.

It's trout season, and I start out by getting red as a tomato. Over the summer I slowly ripen. And yes, I use sunscreen religiously, and wear wide-brimmed hats. I even put the goop on my ears.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I was hanging on a ladder on the side of my house most of the weekend, and I'm pretty red too.  My neck got the worst of it.  A true redneck I am.  I goop my ears too.  After seeing how much stuff my dad's had burned and frozen and cut from his head and arms and hands, I'm far more cautious in keeping myself covered when out in the sun for a long duration.  Of course when he was growing up he spent most of his time out in the sun at the lake and on the ball fields and nobody used sunscreen.  He burnt to a crisp every spring and summer.
