I see what you mean Tommy, the longer length does look better on taller frame.  I'm 5"10 and have to be careful to get lengths right to maintain good balance.
Good luck with your suit hunt.

@ Bundyburger:

Have the same cap, for the price it is great - and I didn't come across any alternatives util now... no Seersucker caps anywhere to get.

@ Woof and Bundy: my first Beefrolls 25 years ago were Spanish made... and the ones I bought last year are Made in Spain, too. At least they are MUCH better than any modern Weejun. Much better... And they always look the part.

My pleasure Woof,
Yes the leather is butter soft, I have an embarrassing amount of U.S. Loafers but the Rancourt are my favourite by some distance

Re: Ivy League style for today

Hey gents, what's your experience with the sizing on Rancourt? I bought Rancourt for BB moccasins on eBay a while back and they are my exact marked size (12D) but surprisingly (disappointingly) roomy. I can only wear them with added insoles and thick socks (which is fine- they may yet become my go-to shoe when winter rolls back around). But I've been dreaming of a pair of Rancourt loafers. I guess I can always get their home try-on package.

Agreed Woof. They're pretty much true to size Joey.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Met Bop in town for a roll around the summer sales,
had a really lovely 'small batch' espresso at the Rapha Cycle Club ( slightly acidic with hints of blackberries wink )....

Pebble grain Florshiem Yuma,
Blue with white polka dot socks,
LVC bedford 5 pockets in 'sand',
JS Seesucker button down,
Green and blue silk knit tie,
J*Keydge Ivy 'slack' in navy blue linen.

Purchases in the sales (from Oi Polloi with an extra 20% off in-store)
Gitman Vintage 'black watch' half sleeve button down,
Some interesting looking japanese made socks (with such a huge mark-down it felt rude not to).
