Re: For Sale -

oh, and a spotless london fog g4 knockoff (elastic on sides of waist though), lt. tan. believe it was a 46 L.

also, an old 3/2 tweed number in 41 R, crappy lining, outwardly good shape save for some shine on the pocket seam. lower patch pockets, cool brown/olive greenish herringbone with red/orange/blue windowpane overlay, regular single vent. late 60s, 70s by union label.

Re: For Sale -

44 (or therabouts) brown/olive herringbone tweed sack. 3/2, hook, thin lapel, flapped pockets. threadbare-ness/beginnings of hole on the tip of the cuff below the buttons, slightly shiny spot on breast pocket hem, hole on lapel which is covered when lapel is rolled, tiny unnoticeable one on bottom of back seam. bought in the second-worst ghetto in chicago and bearing the name of a mens store in arkansas, this one might well have travelled north on the back of an aspiring jazz musician-cheap if someone wants it as a pattern, but still wearable otherwise.

Re: For Sale -

Ouch, that's kinda funny. You may be right, I have no idea... wearing 13 myself I have no idea what a men's 10 would look like ;-)

Anyway, if somebody wants to give them a shot they're yours for the shipping cost.

Re: For Sale -

navy blue wool (serge?) sack-possibly an orphaned suit coat. 3/2, flapped pockets, hook vent. Fits like old-school 42R, the arms slightly long but the body fairly short. only label is a 60s union bug. thinnest lapels I've ever seen in person.....only weird thing is the shoulders-more padding than usual for the period.

also left back at the store are a hickey-freeman for spaulding mens store 2 button tweed sack, and a spauldings hook vented 2 button tweed sack, both seemed to be roughly 40 Rs.

new old stock navy macgregor jacket, has regular collar but with one button/hook closure, sort of a mcgregor/baracuta g4 bastard love child. L.

bean 15.5/33 tattersall with flapped pocket, blend.

gant salty dog, L.

arrow dover loop/3 rd button blend, red plaid, 17.5/33

size M very heavyweight woolrich jac-shirt, very old looking label logo that i'm not familiar with.

Re: For Sale -

A bit late but thought I should update the stuff above:

Weejuns & Surfride went within 5 mins of posting. Sorry to the dozen or so others who PMd afterwards.

4F picked up the Sears Taper Fit and the Catalina is awaiting fit trials with Mr K.

Thanks to everyone who enquired. I'm still doing a spring clean of non-fitting items so there may be some more bits soon.

Re: For Sale -

Too much stuff to photo so I'll do this samrockmonkey style:

SHIRTS
Old red label Brooks blue OCBD, unlined collar, size 16-4 great condition no flaws.  Unsure of age but maybe 80s?

Identical style and label Brooks white OCBD in a 16.5-5

V. Vintage Brooks Blue Label "346" broadcloth buttondown on the yellower side of ecry.  longer collar than the other two, also unlined, size 16.5-2. Label reads "Brooks Brothers Makers '346' Machine Wash Hot" No country of origin listed but this is quite old.  Deadstock condtion, cardboard still in collar, original Brooks tag still attached $20 price tag with some sort braille-like hole punching.

Sero The Purist Oxford Durable Press poly/cotton oxford in butter yellow from the Crimson Shop Harvard. Size is 15.5 short sleeve.  Probably 1960s or 1970s.  It is sanfordized with size and numberings stamped on the bottom of the front left tale. Condition is good aside from a few of those little pilling balls you sometimes get with poly/cottons.

SUITS and Sportcoats
Size 40R-L 3/2 sack suit in Air Force Blue gabardine, custom tailored by James Woo and Co HK.  Lapped seams, hooked vent, narrow lapels, 2-button cuffs, flat front trousers with thick cuffs.  Excellent condition save a missing button on the jacket front.  Waist is a 34 with another inch to let out.

Jos A. Bank wash n' wear khaki poplin 3/2 sack suit, poly-cotton, size 38-39R, swelled edges, center vent, great condition, most likely 80s, back when Bank did good stuff.

J.Press camel wide wale corduroy sack suit, patch pockets, hooked vent size 38-39R.  '62-76 Union tag, two button cuffs.  Very good condition.  Lining has become separated at one small spot along the seam but has not torn.  One faux leather braided cuff button missing.  There are photos of me wearing this and smoking a pipe somewhere in the Ivy Style for Today thread.

City Squire for Broadstreets 1960s 3/2 sack suit in greyish olive with a flash of golden brown gabardine fabric in a small check similar to a micro glen plaid. Fabric is Blenron for Palm Beach so I am guessing a blend.  Tagged 42L but fits more like a 40L.  Lapped seams, hooked vent, swelled edges, 1/4 lined in maroon rayon. Excellent condition.  One very small rewoven spot below the breast pocket but this is definitely a professional reweaving job, not a patch.  I literally needed a magnifying glass.  Waist is a 32 with a good 3 inches to let out.

1960s Westmore Clothes for a local men's shop 3/2 Tweed jacket in a forrest green glen plaid with flecks of brown and a maroon overcheck.  Lapped seams, hooked vent, pristine condition.  About a size 42R in modern terms. I take a 40 and it is too big around the midsection.

more to come
PM me with interest
