picked up a Fog today with some cool details. old tag (60s-70s?) , no mention of "maincoats", only "calibre cloth". made for filenes mens store of bahhhston. adjustable cuffs (not the fake adjustable cuffs on a maincoat), button on the back vent, button and tab closure on the bottom front. no lining (doesnt take a lining). slits behind pockets to access your jacket pockets. inside pocket which from the size was intended for cigs. lt. tan (as oppsed to stone). little scuff/stain on back, a half shade darker than fabric, which is unnoticeable (will probably come out anyways). fits me like a well tailored suit,so im guessing its a 38R,perhaps a slim fitting 40. if it was just a tad looser id keep it.....

decent haul today;

-45R brooks worsted blazer. light navy color-not quite as light as baracuta navy, but close. lapels roughly a hair under 4", measuring with a chinese crap 2' level as cannot find my tape. late 70s-early 90s.

-42 (the vintage fit 42) "john blair of PA" green herringbone jacket. short brooks type slanted plain vent. 3/2. flapped pockets. very short in body, sleeves average (im 5'8"), very boxy in body and arms. immaculate shape. 2.5" lapel.

-dark brown/grey tweed/burnt orange thin stripe jacket by benson-rixon. early -mid 60s. jazzer turn-back cuffs. short hook vent. 3/2. button tab on lapel. no size tag and interesting fit-like a modern 42 or even 44 in the upper chest and shoulders, but tapered way down at the waist-which fits like a vintage 40 or even 38. on the long side of regular in sleeve and body. very slim lapel. tiny (1/16") mothhole which can't be seen unless held up to light (cant be seen from outside). crazy lining.

-old marshall fields clubfellow blend bd in wide lt. blue/wht/yellow/thin wht stripe. L. hong kong. flapped pocket.

-beige small plaid gitman, L, all cotton.

-15.5 32/3 gant, USA, blend, light muted glenplaid, 3rd button.

-red tag brooks 16/33 all-cotton washed poplin bd, tattersall on off-white background.

-hong kong all cotton 3 on collar, loop, small flapped pocket wht/blue stripe bd. missing tag, but looks to be a new copy-gap, bean signature,etc.

-beekman bros 14.5/33 bd, 3 on collar, loop, looks to be tapered fit. this one has a hole i noticed after purchase, but free to anyone who wants it for a pattern.

forgot the 10.5 tan longwings, of uncertain provenance. Simuleather soles but the shoes are leather, in decent shape.

15/34 sero "discontinued style" all cotton pinpoint, 1/8" stripes, white and kind of a salmon pink/brick red color.

L blend mini stewart plaid (red) , 3 button collar, loop. nordstroms.
lacoste harrington, elastic waist, plain cuffs, mint.
suede/pigskin patton/varsity/tanker/baseball jacket, montgomery wards, good shape besides some green-tinged smudging which blends in with the suede. fits like a vintage L. tiny tear under the pocket, about 1/8" long, not visible.
variety of truly weird london fog products including one lined in shearling and a long sage green coat lined with what appears to be either synthetic or rat fur.
brand spankin' new womens weejuns, "katherine II" new/brazil manufacture, 7.5M.

well I'm looking for a 3/2 jacket, natural shoulders, hooked vent - you get the picture I'm sure - size 38, preferably of some kind of wool or tweed - but if anyone's got anything please let me know. I've looked all over town with no luck so far...
