Not a sale of my own, rather a heads up to anyone London-based.
Blackman's off Brick Lane will be getting a whole load of Sanders playboy boots in, roughly sometime next week. Not sure what they're getting, but the deal you can get it is well well worth heading down!
I picked up a pair the other day, sadly which I've realised are just too big. They're size 12 - and I picked them up as they were at a price which you absolutely not turn down (£25). I'll post them up for sale at the price I got them soon.
If someone was to head down, could they send me a PM if you were able to pick up a pair of size 11 brown suede Sanders and I would pay you back?
Cheers
Colin is echoing my earlier post. If some enterprising Londoner where to pick up a few pairs for us out of towners they could make a few bob.
I would gladly pay, say £40 for a pair.
Let me know if anyone fancies doing us a favour.
Yeah, I'd pay that as well.
I spoke to the guy in there for a while, nice bloke. And the shoes are top quality. Just wise I could have got some 11s when I was there.
Bert Pulitzer madras tie.
8 B NOS plain steel toe work boots, USA made, guessing mid 60s-early 80s based only on graphic design of shoebox, besides that look like they could be any time after about 1942. hard rubber sole like those great escape boots you guys were briefly enamored with, but in a lighter color. uppers are deep med. tan. fairly low. have a kind of 1967 hard mod/"peanut" appeal i suppose.
I'll take the J Keydge please sir...
my details will be PM'd right now.
Thanks, Si
Hi folks:
I'm fairly new here, but here's a great, very traditional, ivy number. Vintage Brooks Brothers Makers heavy weight tweed suit, in brown and tan weave, size 42L. The label is the older BB one, just on the inside of the collar, with the text in bold capital letters, rather than the more recent (though not too recent) cursive.
I'm thinking the suit might be early 1960s, but is in extraordinary condition for its age. It looks to have been worn very little, and the pocket linings in the pants don't even show any pilling or evidence of abuse from washing. I am tempted to call this pretty near NOS condition, worn a few times, then languished in a suit bag for many years...
The jacket is a 3 roll 2 button sack, natural shoulder, fully canvassed, patch flap pockets, two button cuff, 1/4 lined, and hook vented. The pants are flat front, with one button back pocket, and one slit back pocket. The pants have some nice details, like a loop in the front for the prong of your belt buckle to slip through.
There is no size label, but I'd say it's about a 42L, here are the measurements:
shoulders: 19"
sleeve from shoulder to cuff: 26"
chest: 22"
length from bottom of collar: 32"
pant waist across top: 19"
inseam: 33" with a 2" cuff
I'm asking $60 shipped within the U.S. I will happily ship to the UK, but will do so at cost--I'm guessing it will be between $30-5 for int'l priority mail, but will check if there is interest.
If interested please email me at: jason94708(at)gmail(dot)com rather than message me here. I check that much more frequently. Also, please email me if you are interested in pictures of this lovely suit. I have not sold anything here before, but have on Styleforvm, and please check my 100% feedback on ebay under the seller name: jchosko
Thanks!
All best,
Jason

brown bluchers as modeled today by heikki . 1 pr. 8 or8.5 D or E, 1 pr. 12D
black bluchers, exact make and model as seen above (nettleton). the ones heikki currently has are as i recall 9.5 c-e 's and were very slightly snug on me. there are tagged 9D, but fit bigger than the 9.5s. (i normally do a 10.5D).
ace shoes, them nettletons. recommended higly!
assortent of "beau brummel" and "dee-cee" shirts, all perm. press, golden years ,heavily tapered, variety of stripes-2 brown college, thin red, and a blue and green varying width stripe pattern. also a "dee-cee" in a point collar, looks NOS, very loud plaid-all colors not found in nature, except perhaps on radioactive parrots.
"golden key" xl (17-17.5) blue striped pattern, also tapered and 60s vintage, perm. press.
lindsay tartan very skinny wool tie.
bleeding (or rather bled) madras van heusen SS shirt, L.
It's cleaned, sorry!
-NOS w/tags USA made lee riders lt. khaki 5-pocket cords. tagged 38x30 but fit is similar to modern levis 34 waist. slimmer fit in legs than any lee pants ive ever seen as well.
-gant salty dog, faded purple/yellow, xl
-marshall fields overcoat, 50s/60s,"all virgin wool", muted charcoal glenplaid, regular, non-fly single breasted, absolutely padding in shoulder. size not listed, but will fit a 42reg/short attractively with a sweater underneath, probably a 40 or 38 if wearing over a heavy sportcoat.
-usual assortment of london fogs, inc. a 44reg dk. slate number.
-spread collar, plaid (madras design, not madras weave cotton however) cole-haan mfg. by gitman, medium. i have a NOS bd version of this shirt and the cotton (egyptian i believe) is the best summer fabric ive ever come across.
-unique giant plaid SS shirt, "durable press", spauldings of oak park. judging by where it came from and the plaid i believe this is a sero. tapered medium.
-late 60s/70s gant viyella shirt, med.
-makers yellow w/ widely spaced 1/4"blue next to 1/8" white striped all cotton ocbd. heavy, yet soft oxford. only flap-pocketed vintage makers ive seen. Large, but fitted compared to average brooks cut. label looks to be older.
-blue/gray heather narrow tie, scotland. also wool mc gregor tartan tie, wild bright green and maroon tartan.
-brooks madras SS, large (this one also fitted in comparison to most brooks shirts).
-brooks smedley collar style maroon heather sweater, italian merino wool, large.
-7.5EE imperial v-cleat longwings, black.
also huge assortment of new w/tags/ some NOS lands end pants in 40 and 42. nantucket reds, grey flannels, cords, etc.
oh, and if anyone earns their living playing the piano in a whorehouse, i found an old nat. shoulder, thin lapel, 3/2 benson-rixon sack in a bizzarre red/black combo streaked fabric, worsted wool /sharkskin, late 50s-early 60s tag.

2008 navy Shaggy Dog, never worn, sz L (they fit rather slim that year, I'm usually a size M in the US) - 40 quid shipped.
Have a peek at the foxy chick on the close-ups. Might go for that Shaggy, eris.
