You and your bloody velvet slippers....
That Harry Potter playing Quidditch on those?
Haha. That would seal the preppy deal.
Vance Vivian opened in the capital some many years ago, and they still exist as a brand today! In the 1960s they had at least another store here where I live, and one can assume at least three countrywide. Both my grandfather and my girlfriend's father (who is seven or eight years younger) recall shopping there in the sixties.
And so I'm correct in saying that Anthony Squires is an Australian brand that also still exists today? I guess we've deduced that as you say, this is made in Oz Ivy for New Zealand!
So we have a piece of Ivy related to both sides of our little water!
And yes, the pockets are very slightly slanted.
I have another jacket that is virtually the same size in a lovely bronze wool/mohair/polyester blend that is a three-button, has lapped seams and a center but no hook vent, and patch pockets! it is a darted front however, so may appeal to a narrower audience. Will provide pictures/measurements if desired.

Thanks - that is a bit of history I didn't know. Amazing whats around isn't it. Yes afaik Anthony Squires has always been an Oz brand although now I believe they have many things made in NZ. And Fiji
Its a funny old world isn't it
That would be really nice cut to a s/s!
That was the plan when I pulled it out this Summer. But alas it wasn't to be.
I'm gutted that it doesn't fit well anymore tbh. Ach well...
Well if it doesn't fit you I guess it surely wouldn't fit me. Shame, because I like it and YOU OWE ME BIG TIME!! Just kidding.
I thought of you. It's only 16" and a bit across the shoulder though and I figured that'd be at least an inch short for you because despite being skinny you do have decent shoulders.
.... not that I've been checking out your shoulders. Honest...
