Suede Harringtons

I am not even sure, if they classify as Harringtons, but I used to have a jacket, almost identical to the design of the Harringtons in suede. A cool casual zip-up jacket in a hazel tone of brown suede with a plaid lining...

OK, it wasn't mine. It belonged to my flatmate. He wouldn't sell it, because he got it from his grandfather, but I was wearing it all the time (ca. 1998-2002)...

He couldn't tell me where to get it, so my last hope is this forum...

I have seen a lot of jackets with some of those features, mostly buttoned ones... but NEVER have I seen a jacket like this again...

I would probably sell my soul for this thing!!!

Re: Suede Harringtons

Chris_H and I both wear the Orvis Suede Harrington & I'd recommend them to anyone. The quality & price are outstanding.

Baracuta used to make a Suede G9 - I last saw one on The Cape (or on the way to The Cape) in around '90. It was on sale for $49 in some place like a branch of The Country Store of Concord or one of those style places (and there used to be so many places like that even a recently as '90).

Wish I'd bought it, but I'd already spent too much by that point...

Ahhhhh well.....

Thanks a lot! The Orvis jackets look just perfect! As soon as I'm out of my debts I will get one!

I have a chocolate brown suede jacket from Paul Stuart.

Re: Suede Harringtons

....so's mine, this colour doesn't appear on the website at present.

Gant used to make a nice suede bomber/harrington, a pal of mine has had a couple of them over the years and swears by them.

Re: Suede Harringtons

I got the lighter brown one. Really happy about it. I'm wearing it today (because I've seen this thread last night...)
