Different company mate! That would be an odd conglomerate wouldn't it - Campari makers of fine aperatifs and rugged, two-man tents.

The reason I think it's 60's is that the hanging tag says 100% pure wool. You wouldn't bother advertising that before then, I think. It would be taken for graned, unless you were making a big thing about it including new wonder materials such as acrylic!

Oof, good finds Sir! Love the pop-over, and I'd wear the floral print - with some Levi's cords and those Acid Jazz beads people used to wear!

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Need to find some cords like those 551's you posted Harpo, but for now it'll be worn with my 518 White levis. Hoping the popover fits, bit small on the neck but it'll never be worn buttoned up so should be ok.

Just wear the stuff.  Don't hide it away.

Glad to hear. Some people would probably put those in glass cases or curate them in a sealed chamber.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

I'm tearing out the old canvas lining on the herringbone and having it completely relined because it's all yellowed. The rest have dark lining and look deadstock otherwise. The University Shop needs to be altered here and there; shorten the sleeves, a bit of centering, possibly even a 1/4" nip in the shoulders. I'm taking it back to Montreal with me next month when I fly back for a wedding to undergo some light surgery. I wouldn't entrust it to anyone else. The rest are travelling with me to Japan and will get a heavy workout in the crisp November countryside. I'll be tweeded out until spring.

He didn't break down, we'd actually been speaking all along but I didn't want to say anything at the time until I had them in hand.
