Seller says he remeasured and the shoulders are 18 1/2", 42" chest. Overall length is 30". Size 40 maybe?
Would anyone be interested in taking this off my hands for $50 if it doesn't work out?
I should probably go by the measurements provided but it's clearly tagged a 38L so I chanced it. Be a jerk and cancel the transaction or give it a shot and pass it on to another forum member? Anyone potentially interested?
They'll look cracking Harpo with a bit of TLC, very much like the Bass ones I sold Lord Dunsby 'cept for they had the foam sole. Seen there is a pair of similar ones by Saxon on a well known vintage site but not cheap.

Yes, I saw those Saxones Tom, as you say - expensive!
Very nice, man!
Are those the Weejun Ties you were searching out?
Those shoes are great. I needs me summa them.

I haven't posted this to the ebay thread as there's no 'BIN' option.
"Rare 1960's/70's American Quality Shoe"....... Country of manufacture "Vietnam". That must have been tricky for Bass!
Untill when did they make this model AB?

Oliver, any ideas of the origins of that jacket? It shares a bunch of details with my Pendleton sport coats; maybe they share a common source. (Or maybe some of these things were just so prevalent in the 60s that everyone started making copies of each other.)
The new ones which are on the JS FB page (very plastic looking) have the lace tassels, which would be the first thing to remove unless from a vintage pair.
Also a piece from Weejun. http://www.theweejun.com/vintage-bass-weejuns-tie-shoes/
AC, I would think they are maybe a late 70s early 80s Bass Moc going by the box design, and pretty sure they were US made at that point, though I may be wrong, I don't mind the sole unit, after a few wears it would darken up and look fine - they are incredibly soft looking. Go get them big man.

I figured as much. My experience has been similar as yours- I've had anything from 17.5" to 18.5" drape well over my shoulders. Goes to show that even with proper measurements, there's still risk in buying online.
