Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Great choice - I really do like mine. Great attention to detail in the quality - e.g. little buttons inside the sleeve to hook the lining in, nice heavyweight throat latch etc. I'm sure you'll like it. Hope it fits.

Nice score there T-bone.  I've gotta say, the London Fogs are just great coats.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Was listed as a women's coat and was £6.50 - double checked the fastening and it's definitely mens. Looking forward to getting it now.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

It seems that ebay prices for the London Fogs have been steadily increasing over the past 6 months or so.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Haha, I think WM meant in general. Most seem to be about the £30 - £45 mark on eBay et al.

True.  I'm especially partial to the Clipper Mill Plaid version.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Can't tell for sure but a dark olive worsted wool sack jacket is pretty versatile... could be worn with dark flannels, chinos or camel coloured moleskins, possibly even cords. Think it only looks like a suit jacket rather than separate because the photos are so dark but close-ups of the fabric reveal light green and olive flecks. Needs to be shortened an inch as it's an "L" length.

That's some extreme button placement...I like it...sleeve heads are high with the roping but then shhhhh...I dont mind that either just looks a touch dressier

Looking for other ideas for that green sack jacket... yellow-green based madras tie maybe? black tropical cotton trousers?

Those delave, or whatever the hell you call 'em, look really nice.  What color shirt you planning on wearing with that yellow tie and green blazer?
