Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

/\  very nice AC, I have a pair of the legendary Knapp farm boots and they are my favorite boots and one of my big regrets is not snagging an NOS pair I saw shortly after the company finally went under sometime in the mid-'00s I think .....

“Elwin and Clarence Knapp founded the Knapp Brothers Shoe Manufacturing Company in 1921. ‘Because of our outstanding reputation for superior craftsmanship, quality, comfort and durability, Knapp continues to be the largest direct selling company in the world.’ This quote is from a 1985 Knapp Shoes catalog.” Their legacy continues through Avram Grossman, son of Louis Grossman who took over the company after his death in 1997. The company continues to produce all products in the USA. The “Farm Boot” details: specially treated full grain leather uppers, Knapp insoles and Aerotred cushioned insole. The soles are oil resistant and non-marking. “Genuine Goodyear welt construction with storm welt and is made in America, Again.”

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Sure thing, man- are you an 8.5?

The soles are a little worn down, but otherwise they look to be in beautiful shape.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

^ I'm not an 8.5 but know someone who is, and they look fantastic - re-soled and heeled they'll be (near) perfect smile

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Thanks, I wonder if I should have them resoled right away or continue to wear them out... they probably have a couple of years left of wear with proper care.

^ it's worth doing sooner than later, catches any issues with splits or damage to the mid-sole early.
